Solar Gates: Self-Sufficient Operation Without Mains Power

How the CETA Solar Gate with integrated PV panels and battery works on sites without mains power — from forest properties and mountain meadows to industrial entrances.

Solar Gates: Self-Sufficient Operation Without Mains Power

Not every property has a power supply at the gate. Forest and meadow plots, photovoltaic-plant entrances, water sources, remote storage areas — wherever a cable run from the inverter to the entrance is too expensive or impossible, the CETA Solar Gate is the clean answer.

The concept

PV panels sit directly in the gate infill or on a discreet topper, an integrated battery stores the energy, and the motor controller mounts on the gate itself ("On-Board Motor"). No buried cable, no switchgear cabinet in the yard, no electricity bill.

Performance

  • Standard configuration: around 100 movement cycles per charge
  • PV surface and battery capacity are freely sizable — continuous operation through bad-weather periods is possible
  • Operated via radio, optional IntelliGate app
  • Low maintenance: PV modules are integrated into the gate infill, not bolted on

Where it makes sense

Common use cases: alpine huts, forestry operations, remote PV parks, flood-retention basins, temporary construction-site entrances. But it's also compelling for normal residential builds: no excavation to the gate, no RCD discussion, no ongoing electricity costs.
