The sun as your drive.

Off-grid operation, modern design with integrated PV panels, and a built-in battery that keeps working reliably even during power cuts.

CETA Solar Gate — self-sufficient sliding gate in a forested, off-grid location
No mains required

100 % off-grid, 100 % simple

A Solar Gate needs no mains connection — no cable pulling, no trenching, no electrical work beside the gate. That makes the Solar Gate ideal for large properties and locations where no power supply is yet available.

PV design

Solar energy made visible

The PV panels are integrated directly into the gate leaf, giving the Solar Gate its unmistakable look. Combined with bar or slat infills, nearly any size and design is possible — functional and stylish at once.

Drive & battery

On-Board Motor — even without mains

The built-in battery stores the harvested solar energy and reliably powers the On-Board Motor drive even during power cuts. A fully charged battery delivers roughly 100 movement cycles by default.

Configuration

Your Solar Gate, built-to-measure.

Four levers we use to tune your Solar Gate to your site and energy needs.

PV module format

Gate size follows the available PV modules — many formats are available.

Bar & slat infill

Combine PV modules with bar or slat infills for almost any size you want.

Battery capacity

Scalable up to continuous operation even through long spells of bad weather.

Wireless operation

Control mounted on the gate — operation is exclusively wireless via radio or KeyPad.

Technical Details

Energy & control.

How the Solar Gate harvests its energy — and how you operate it day to day.

01 · Energy concept

Self-sufficient solar operation

The Solar Gate generates all its operating energy itself. During the day the integrated PV panels charge the built-in battery, which powers the drive around the clock — even at night and during power cuts.

Photovoltaic panels in the gate leaf

The PV modules are integrated directly into the gate leaf. They supply energy and shape the design at the same time — no additional structures required.

Battery buffering & reserve

A full battery charge typically lasts about 100 movement cycles. Larger batteries on request — for sites prone to long stretches of bad weather.

Bad-weather note

For long periods of low sunlight, the sizing of PV panels and battery can be adjusted to ensure continuous operation.

02 · Drive & operation

On-Board Motor by radio

As with all self-sufficient CETA gates, the motor sits directly inside the gate. The control is also on the gate — so operation is exclusively wireless, via handheld radio transmitter, radio switch or KeyPad.

Operation via radio transmitter

Every Solar Gate ships with handheld radio transmitters — additional transmitters can be paired at any time, ideal for multiple users or family members.

Extension via KeyPad

Optionally, control the gate with a CETA KeyPad using an individual key code.

Emergency operation note

In the rare event of an empty battery, the gate can be unlocked manually and moved by hand.

FAQ

FAQ
about the Solar Gate.

Does the Solar Gate come in different sizes?
The size of the Solar Gate depends on the PV modules used, which come in many different formats. Combined with bar or slat infills, nearly any size is possible.
How long does a Solar Gate run in bad weather?
PV panel and battery sizing can be chosen for the application to enable continuous operation even through longer bad-weather periods. By default, a fully charged battery delivers about 100 movement cycles.
Is it possible to feed power from the Solar Gate back into the grid?
This has not been implemented yet, but is theoretically possible.
Do Solar Gates always have the On-Board Motor drive?
Solar Gates are exclusively fitted with the On-Board Motor drive. The control is mounted directly on the gate — operation is by radio.
