01 · Drive concept
The invisible cable drive
The On-Board Motor takes a radical approach: the entire drive moves inside the gate. Instead of an external rack, a hidden cable drive handles power transmission. What stays visible outside is only the gate in its purest form.
Cable drive instead of rack
The cable drive runs entirely hidden inside the gate leaf and is protected from the weather. Power transmission is direct and free from mechanical play — for precise movement over the gate’s entire service life.
Running characteristics
The cable drive runs noticeably quieter than classic rack solutions and reduces mechanical wear to a minimum.
Maintenance note
An annual visual inspection by your CETA partner ensures long-term reliability.
02 · Control & installation
Flexibly installed, easily controlled
The On-Board Motor is delivered fully functional and pre-assembled. Only the control unit is positioned on site — either directly on the gate or beside it, depending on the available space and your preferred control logic.
Control position
The control can be mounted either on the gate itself or at a suitable point beside it. Both options are technically equivalent — the choice depends on site conditions.
Control on the gate
Sensible when there’s no space next to the gate or when lighting, controls and safety devices are to be integrated on the gate itself.
Wiring note
With the control mounted beside the gate, fixed wiring allows direct connection to push-buttons or existing home control systems.

No. The On-Board Motor is designed exclusively for residential use with a clear opening of up to 8 metres. For commercial and industrial applications we recommend the classic CETA drive systems.
